Gingy aka Tallahassee
March 24, 2009
Dear Friends at DPS -
We brought Tallahassee home about 2 weeks ago, and she is a dream come true. Her new name is Miss Gingerella Fuzzy Pants, but we call her Gingy (from the Shrek videos) As you can tell by the name, our daughter is 6. Gingy is all love, and quickly attached to our daughter. They chase each other around the backyard, and cuddle together before bedtime. Gingy is excited anytime someone enters the room, even if they only left for just a minute, and she protects us from fallen leaves and sticks. She loves her squeaky mini tennis balls, but can't figure out how to get more than one in her mouth. We can already see that she is getting bigger, and she did very well at her vet check. She is adapting to crate training, and will settle down just about anywhere her fuzzy blanket ends up, but only if she can't find a lap to crawl onto. We all love her very much. She is great in the car, and our daughter can hardly wait to take her to visit Grandma.
Thank you to everyone who made our adoption possible.
Thank you also for making this an easy experience and accommodating our travel time to your foster family. It was so great to also meet Gingy's brother and mother.
